5 Creative Art-Hanging Ideas from an Artist's Converted Loft
- By Taryn Williford
Even though "having too much art" is so not a problem,it can definitely feel like one sometimes. So what's a savvy apartment dweller to do when they've run out of wall space for their private collection? The home of one New Orleans-based artist might offer some ideas. The next time you're stuck with where to display your favorite pieces, follow Olesya's direction for where and how to display your favorite artwork...
All Over the Hallway
Hanging from the walls is expected, yes, but also try out some art on the floor, leaning against the wall. It's an interesting high/low thing.
On Kitchen Counters
Place them right on the counter to lean against the wall, or perch them up on a short back splash, if you have one. (Or both!)
On top of Kitchen Cabinets
Olesya doesn't have upper cabinets, but she does have this architectural ledge in the kitchen where she leans canvases. You can steal the look.
On Top of the Fridge
It's mostly unused space, anyway.
On an Easel
Trust me, you don't have to be an artist to pull off this cool bohemian look.
